Filming Days On The Railroad

This fall I went on a video/photo-shooting rampage. I created a company safety video that was focused on safe railroad practices and collected promotional footage to be used on future editions of our websites and stuff. It was actually a fairly insane amount of work – but super fun. This post is dedicated to the behind-the-scenes photos of me and my partners-in-crime as we chased trains and annoyed employees :)

Shooting with the drone made it extra interesting!

An early morning drive to catch the train rewarded us with stunning views.

Sadly, this day turned out to be too foggy for the poor drone. I’d take it up for a quick flight and within seconds, the condensation from the fog would make the camera completely useless.Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with f2 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with f2 presetIMG_0607 IMG_0608
But a couple days later, another opportunity came. This day was clear as they come and I was pretty stoked with the footage me and little sis got.IMG_0620 IMG_0626 IMG_0630
On the way home, we were passing Gardiner Dam and she says “hey, I did my grade 5 heritage fair on this” – so naturally I made her pose for a photo pretending to be excited about it (but of course, she’s much too cool to actually be excited for real).
Attempting to get the mud chunks off the wheel wells of a crew van kinda took a turn for the worse. No water pressure made it sloppier than this photo even illustrates.

Getting the boys to do yoga for the safety video – stay limber, stay safe ;)

And that’s it in a nutshell!
